4H Update & New Officer Induction

Traci Wells, a long-time 4H volunteer who currently serves as the auction coordinator for the small animal auction at the Midland County Fair, thanked our club for our history of support for this program and how impactful it is on the broad 4H program.

The club learned about the costs of raising the variety of ‘small’ animals but also the value of teaches life lessons to students, age 8-19, and agriscience and business skills.

Karann thanked this year’s auction team including herself, Mary, Laura, and Amy.  This year our Kiwanis team spent $7000 to purchase 21 ducks, rabbits, turkeys, and a cavy at the auction, with funds from the foundation, member donations, and the club board.

Past Lt. Governor Kathy Dotson followed by inducting our new club officers for the October ’26 to September ’27 Kiwanis Club year. These officers will

provide great leadership for the club!
